Balod, November 20, 2024: Chhattisgarh government has taken special steps to ensure that the middleman or traders cannot sell paddy in the name of farmers.
After taking consent from the farmers, who have sold their entire paddy, the remaining areas of paddy field are being locked so that no one can sell paddy in the name of registered farmers, official sources said.

In the Khariff marketing year 2024-25, paddy procurement are being conducted smoothly in all the procurement centers at the support price across the state.
Official sources said that as per the instructions of the government, all the procurement centers are being continuously inspected.
The farmers who have sold their entire paddy, after taking consent from them, the process of surrendering the area of their remaining paddy area is being done and their remaining area is being locked. So that no middleman or trader can sell his paddy on their remaining area, the officials added.
Food department officials informed that a joint team of revenue, food, market and cooperative departments has been constituted, which is conducting investigations in the establishments of middleman and traders.
The officials have requested the farmers, who have sold all the paddy in their registered area, that after selling the paddy produced by them at the support price, if some area is left, they should surrender that and get the remaining area locked so that no middleman or trader can sell his paddy on their remaining area through fake documents.
