Raipur, December 4, 2024: Devendra Fadnavis will be the Chief Minister of Maharashtra as the BJP led alliance made a landslide victory in the state assembly election.
Fadnavis was today elected as Maharashtra BJP legislature party’s leader unanimously, party sources said.

Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena and NCP’s Ajit Pawar will be sworn in as deputy chief ministers tomorrow.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many Central Ministers, several Chief Ministers and other top party leaders from the NDA will be attending the swearing in ceremony at the sprawling Azad Maidan in south Mumbai tomorrow.

At the legislature party meeting held in Vidhan Bhawan today BJP’s central observer and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said Fadnavis has been unanimously elected as the BJP legislature party leader.
BJP achieved remarkable success in the November 20 Assembly elections, securing 132 out of the 288 assembly seats.
Together with its allies — Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition has a huge majority of 230 seats in the 288 member state assembly.
