Raipur, December 23, 2024: Chhattisgarh government today announced to start the process for reservation for the post of Mayors and Chairmen of urban local bodies on December 27 at the state capital.
Under the Chhattisgarh Municipality Act 1999 there is provision for reservation for the post of Mayor and Chairman for various urban local bodies of the state, Urban Administration and Development Department officials said.
On December 27 the process of reservation for the posts will be conducted at the Raipur Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium from 10.30 AM, they said.
For Municipal corporations the time schedule has been fixed at 10.30 to 11.30 AM. For Municipality 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM and for notified Area Council (Urban Municipal Panchayats) the time schedule is fixed for 12.30 PM till the process is over, they said.
This will be an open session and any one can come and see the proceedings, they clarified.
