Raipur, January 1, 2025: On the very first day of the New Year Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today took a meeting of the secretaries and heads of all departments in the Secretariat and directed to bring transparency and prompt and effective works related to the general public.
“In the year 2024, we had fulfilled the major guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The year 2025 is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh. The silver jubilee year has special significance for Chhattisgarh, so discharge your responsibilities with great enthusiasm and devotion,” The Chief Minister said
He instructed the officers to conduct a special campaign and promptly dispose of the pending files. To achieve the goal of developed Chhattisgarh, we all have to work with team spirit, he added.
Sai also directed to smoothly implement the system of e-office in all offices including the Secretariat. Any kind of laxity in administrative work will not be tolerated, he said.
Officers and employees from senior administration to lower level should come to the office on time and discharge their responsibilities with full diligence, he said.
Sai said he himself will review the work of all the departments. Instructing all the secretaries to regularly review the works of their departments, he said along with virtual review every month, physical review should also be done every 3 months.
Also, try and resolve the problems being faced in implementation of big schemes in a timely manner and inform the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary in case of difficulties. It is important to resolve the problems of the common man on time.
“Our focus should be on ease of living and ease of doing business. There is a very good environment for investment in Chhattisgarh right now. Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024-2030 is being appreciated all over the country. Take special care that investors get the benefit of the new industrial policy,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that the law and order situation in the state should never be weak. He said “in the last one year we have achieved great success on the Naxal front. We have succeeded in establishing peace in Naxal-affected areas. There is a need to take the government’s schemes to Naxal-affected areas. It is very important that the people of the area get the benefit of the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme. We have opened many security camps in Naxal areas. Keep in mind that the works of the concerned department which come under the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme should be completed in these areas at a fast pace,” the Chief Minister said.
Sai said that the secretaries in charge of the districts should visit their districts every two months. During this time, they should visit the interior areas about the real status of the implementation of the schemes.
The Chief Minister said that a lot of attention also needs to be paid to the traffic system. Nowadays, many road accidents are happening. By running a campaign, strong arrangements should be made to prevent road accidents so that it can be reduced.
There is also a need to strictly stop smuggling of drugs from other states to Chhattisgarh, Sai said adding in the last one year, good efforts have been made to prevent illegal drug trade. There is a need to speed it up further.
Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the CM Subodh Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Renu Pilley, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Principal Chief Forest Conservator and Forest Force Chief V Srinivas Rao, Principal Secretary, Secretary and Department Heads along with other officials were present in the meeting.
