Raipur February 26, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said that the Rajim Kumbh Kalpa of the state is a symbol of spiritual consciousness, social harmony and cultural unity.

Chief Minister Sai, while addressing the closing ceremony of Kumbh Kalpa organised in Rajim, also known as Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh, said that the organisation of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa is not just a religious ritual, but a great festival of culture, tradition and social harmony of Chhattisgarh. Here, from Magh Purnima to Mahashivratri, thousands of devotees take holy bath in Sangam and receive blessings of saints and mahatmas.
The state government has made every possible effort to provide grandeur to Rajim Kumbh Kalpa. This event is giving a new identity to the religious and cultural heritage of the state, he said.

The BJP government of the state has re-established the grandeur of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa and is committed to give it an even more grand form, the Chief Minister said.
In his address, Sai said that Rajim Kumbh Kalpa was started in the year 2005, which has been continuously getting the blessings of the people of Chhattisgarh and the proximity of saints.
He mentioned that in the last few years there were some obstacles in this event, but the people of Chhattisgarh empowered the government by blessing it again in 2023, due to which this Mahakumbh returned to its traditional form.

Now this fair is being organized in 54 acres of land, which has expanded its grandeur and arrangements. The Chief Minister said that his government is constantly trying to make this event more well-organized and grand.
Chief Minister Sai said that recently 70 crore devotees took bath in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, which shows the cultural and spiritual power of India. He said that Chhattisgarh will also make continuous efforts to take its spiritual event to this level.
The Chief Minister said that by coordinating with the Uttar Pradesh government, Chhattisgarh got four and a half acres of land in Prayagraj, where Chhattisgarh Pavilion was constructed.

Under this initiative, more than 25,000 devotees were provided food, accommodation and spiritual services free of cost. He said that this effort is an important step towards strengthening the religious and cultural identity of Chhattisgarh at the national level.
Addressing the event Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap said that on this auspicious occasion, we all should pledge to save water sources from pollution by having reverence towards water sources and holy rivers.
Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel said that Rajim Kumbh is our cultural heritage, whose conservation and development is necessary.
On this occasion, former BJP minister and Kurud MLA Ajay Chandrakar, Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu, Basna MLA Sampat Agarwal, Abhanpur MLA Indra Kumar Sahu, former MP Chandulal Sahu, top BJP leader Rampratap Singh and a large number of saints and devotees were present.
