Raipur April 10, 2025: Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy will be on a two-day tour of Chhattisgarh from today.

During this visit, the Coal Minister will review the operations at Gevra, the world’s second largest and India’s largest coal mine. This mine comes under South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).
During his visit, Reddy will also interact with stakeholders in the mining ecosystem. This includes mine workers, who have played a vital role in achieving the twin milestones of 1 billion tons of coal production and dispatch.
He will also recognize the efforts made by the coal mining family in achieving this historic feat.
Apart from this, the Coal Minister will also meet Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and discuss with him the roadmap for the mining sector, official sources said.
