Raipur, April 14, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today expressed serious concern over the falling groundwater level in the state.
He appealed to the people to adopt water harvesting to promote water conservation in every village.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma admitted that the falling level of groundwater in the state is very worrying. For this, a separate SOP is being issued from the department to increase the groundwater level in every village.
Sharma said that the Department will make an action plan to increase the water level.
He also urged the people present to take a pledge to work for increasing the groundwater level.
He also informed that on April 15, the Chief Minister will launch the survey campaign of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.
During this, MPs, MLAs, District Panchayat and Janpad Panchayats’ Presidents, Vice Presidents, Members, Sarpanchs and newly elected public representatives were present in large numbers in the district headquarters.
