Raipur, May 26, 2025: More than 13 lakh 22 thousand 730 standard bags of tendu leaves have been collected in Chhattisgarh so far, in lieu of which Rs 727 crore 50 lakh 17 thousand will be paid to the tendu leave pluckers.
So far, Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Federation has paid Rs 84.40 crore to one lakh 32 thousand 334 collectors through software, official sources said today.
Along with tendu leaves collection in Chhattisgarh, the process of paying remuneration to the collectors is also going on, the sources added.

Officials claimed that as per the instructions of the Chhattisgarh government, tendu leaf pluckers are being paid their remuneration regularly in a transparent manner. Out of the total collection value of more than Rs 727.50 crore, about 11.60 per cent of the amount has been paid directly to the collectors. The districts with the highest payments include Korba with Rs 20.12 crore, Gariyaband district with Rs 16.51 crore and Dhamtari district with Rs 5.17 crore.
All payments to collectors are being made through OTP verification, which has ensured transparency and accountability in the payment system.
According to the information received from Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Federation, till May 22, payment of Rs 84.40 crore has been entered in the software. Payment of Rs 61.73 crore has been verified by the feeder officer, which includes cash payment of Rs 36.16 crore and payment in bank of Rs 24.25 crore, the officials added.
