Raipur, June 29, 2025: Amidst controversy over the activities of Chhattisgarh Health Department Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today called on the Governor.
Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today met the Governor Ramen Deka at Raj Bhavan, official sources said.

Jaiswal briefed the Governor about the activities of the state Health and Family Welfare Department of the state.
However, the meeting assumed significance as Jaiswal’s Health Department is facing stiff opposition throughout the state to the order of the Department to stop journalists from entering the government hospital premises.
Through bouncers journalists were stopped from entering the Raipur Medical College Hospital recently by the authority prompting mediapersons from throughout the state to come to the street. Ultimately the state government had to declare not to implement the order.
Also there is allegation of unwanted purchase of medicines and medical equipments under the Ministership of Jaiswal.
