     Raipur, August 12, 2025: Chhattisgarh Labour Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan today met Union Labour Minister Mansukh Lal Mandaviya in New Delhi and submitted a demand letter for the establishment of Nursing College of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in the state.

     Dewangan said that under Section 59 (B) of the State Insurance Act, the corporation can establish a nursing college in addition to the medical college for the betterment of the medical facilities provided by it.

     Chhattisgarh is moving towards rapid development. The establishment of Nursing College will increase the medical facilities of the workers, he said.

     Along with this, admission will also be available on the reserved seats for the children of insured workers, he added.

     Apart from this, a detailed discussion was held with the Union Minister regarding the labour welfare schemes being run in the state.

     Minister Dewangan requested to increase health facilities by completing the process of recruitment of vacant posts, especially doctors and other staff in Korba ESIC Hospital soon.
