Raipur, November 14, 2025: Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll in Chhattisgarh, forms have been distributed to one crore 93 lakh 50 thousand and 843 voters so far, representing approximately 92 per cent of the total number of voters in the state.
Since the launch of SIR on November 4, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been visiting door-to-door for distributing forms to voters for the SIR.
Official sources stated that the total number of registered voters in the state is 2 crore 12 lakh 30 thousand and 737 voters.

As per the Election Commission’s directives, the work of filling out forms for the voter list has been underway in all districts of the state since November 4, under the Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Roll programme. This process will continue until December 4, 2025.
Following this, the preliminary publication of the voter list will be done on December 9. After the initial publication, claims and objections will be received from December 9 to January 8, 2026.
Resolution of claims and objections will be completed by January 31, while the final voter list will be published on February 7, 2026, after verifying the accuracy of the voter list.
As per the Election Commission’s instructions, BLOs are going door-to-door in all assembly constituencies to distribute forms. They are ensuring that every eligible voter receives the form and returns it after filling in the correct information, including signatures.
If a voter is not found at home, the BLO will attempt to deliver the form three times. If the voter is still absent, a notice will be posted at the home.
The Commission has appealed to all voters to provide correct information to the BLOs and complete the counting sheet promptly, so that their names can be included in the final voter list.
