     Raipur, November 27, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 60th edition of the All India Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police in Raipur on November 29 and 30.

     Prime Minister Modi has consistently shown keen interest in this annual conference, encouraging candid discussions. He has created an environment where new ideas on policing can emerge, official sources said.

     The conference will be held from November 28 to 30. Its objective is to review the progress made so far in addressing key policing challenges and outline a visionary roadmap for building a ‘Safe India’ in line with the national vision of a ‘Developed India’.

     The conference, themed ‘Developed India: Security Dimensions’, will feature detailed discussions on key security issues such as Left Wing Extremism, counter-terrorism, disaster management, women’s safety, and the use of forensic science and AI in policing.

     The Prime Minister will also confer the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

     The conference provides an important interactive platform for senior police officers and security administrators from across the country to engage in open and meaningful deliberations on a wide range of national security issues.

     It facilitates discussions on operational, infrastructural and welfare challenges faced by police forces, as well as the creation and sharing of professional practices to combat crime, maintain law and order, and address internal security threats.

     The annual conference features business sessions, plenary discussions, and thematic discussions, providing participants an opportunity to share their views directly with the Prime Minister on important internal security and policy matters.

     Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the conference has undergone continuous refinement since 2014, including its relocation to various locations across the country.

     This conference has been held in Guwahati (Assam), Rann of Kutch (Gujarat), Hyderabad (Telangana), Tekanpur (Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh), Statue of Unity (Kevadia, Gujarat), Pune (Maharashtra), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), New Delhi, Jaipur (Rajasthan), and Bhubaneswar (Odisha).

     Continuing this tradition, this year the 60th Directors General of Police/Inspectors General of Police Conference is being held in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh.

     Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Directors General of Police of States/Union Territories, and heads of Central Police Organizations will participate in this conference.

     To bring forward new and innovative ideas, heads of Home Departments of States/Union Territories and select police officers of the DIG and SP level will also participate in this year’s conference.
