Raipur, December 10, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will lay the foundation stone and perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the medical college in Ghotiya village during his visit to Kawardha on December 12.
The foundation stone was previously consecrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The establishment of the Medical College in Kawardha is a historic step towards strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh and providing new opportunities for medical education to the youth.
40 acres of land allocated for the college, over Rs. 306 crore sanctioned
The government has allocated 40 acres of land in Ghotiya village for the construction of the medical college.
More than Rs. 306 crore has been sanctioned for the project, clearly demonstrating the government’s seriousness and commitment to expanding healthcare facilities, official sources said.
The college will be equipped with state-of-the-art technological facilities and will be built according to national standards.
After the establishment of the medical college, a significant improvement will be seen in the healthcare services of Kawardha district. People will have access to modern, advanced, and world-class healthcare services locally. Dependence on distant cities for the treatment of serious illnesses will be reduced. Easy access to specialist doctors and super-specialty services will be ensured.
