Raipur, March 31, 2026: Amidst the historic success achieved in the direction of eradicating Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma today met Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at his official residence in Nava Raipur and congratulated him on this major achievement in the fight against Naxalism and felicitated him by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai stated that a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh is now poised to advance toward a new era of development, trust, and prosperity.
He noted that Naxalism had remained the single largest impediment to the state’s progress for years, and the Bastar region, in particular, had languished under the shadow of ‘Red Terror’ for a prolonged period.

The Chief Minister remarked that circumstances are now changing rapidly, and the mainstream of development is gaining strength across all Naxal-affected regions.
A new environment of peace, security, and development is taking shape throughout the state—including Bastar—bringing about positive changes in the lives of the common people that are now clearly visible, he said.
Sai attributed this historic achievement to the unwavering resolve, clear policy, and effective strategy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He affirmed that, under their leadership, the dream of a fear-free and secure Chhattisgarh is finally becoming a reality today.
Offering a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the anti-Naxal operations, the Chief Minister stated that their martyrdom laid the very foundation for this success.
He lauded the indomitable courage, dedication, and devotion to duty displayed by the security forces, declaring that this achievement is the direct result of their tireless efforts.
The Chief Minister expressed his confidence that, within this Naxal-free environment, Chhattisgarh will now scale new heights of development at an accelerated pace and carve out a strong identity for itself among the leading states of the nation.
