Modernization of Land Records Campaign to Begin in Jashpur District on July 15

     Raipur, July 13, 2026:  A comprehensive map renewal campaign will be conducted in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh from July 15 till September 30, 2026.

     Under this campaign, old and dilapidated maps across the district’s 27 Revenue Inspector circles will be examined and renewed.

     Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, continuous efforts are being made to make revenue services in Chhattisgarh more transparent, accurate, and citizen-friendly, officials said.

     According to the scheduled programme, the campaign will commence on July 15 in the Manora and Aasta circles.

     During this period, a total of 2,456 map sheets covering 766 revenue villages will be examined; of these, 710 damaged map sheets belonging to 214 revenue villages will be renewed. Separate rosters and timelines have been established for each Revenue Inspector circle.

     An Assistant Superintendent of Land Records has been appointed as the supervising officer to ensure the effective implementation of the campaign. The entire operation will be carried out under their direct supervision.  

     Instructions have been issued to the concerned Patwaris to ensure the proper maintenance of all records while incorporating necessary amendments in accordance with the rules.

     This campaign will prove to be a significant step towards the modernization of land records. It will make land records more accurate, up-to-date, and transparent, thereby ensuring the swift, simple, and effective execution of revenue-related tasks such as demarcation, mutation, and the correction of land records.
