Raipur, August 14, 2026: The list of chief guests for state-level and district-level Independence Day celebrations in Chhattisgarh has been released by the state government.
At the main state-level ceremony held at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will hoist the national flag and take the salute at the parade.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister will address the people of the state and share details regarding the state’s development journey and future plans.
According to the list issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh will serve as the chief guest at the Rajnandgaon district headquarters, where he will hoist the national flag, take the parade salute, and address the public.
Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu will hoist tricolor at Bilaspur district headquarters, whenre as Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao at Durg district headquarters, and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma at Bastar district headquarters Jagdalpur will hoist the national flag, take the parade salute, and read out the Chief Minister’s message to the public on the occasion of Independence Day.
Similarly, Minister for Tribal Development Ramvichar Netam (at Surguja district headquarters), Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel (at Mahasamund district headquarters), Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap (at Dantewada district headquarters), Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan (at Kawardha district headquarters), and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal (at the headquarters of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district) will hoist the national flag, take the parade salute, and read out the Chief Minister’s message to the public on Independence Day.
Likewise, at the Raigarh district headquarters, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary will hoist the national flag, take the salute at the parade, and read out the Chief Minister’s message to the public.
Similarly at their respective district headquarters: Revenue Minister Tankram Verma (Kanker), Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade (Surajpur), Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb (Janjgir-Champa), Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agrawal (Jashpur), and School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav (Balod).
Members of Parliament (MPs) will hoist the flag, take the salute at the parade, and read the Chief Minister’s message to the public at their respective district headquarters: Brijmohan Agrawal (Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara), Vijay Baghel (Bemetara), Santosh Pandey (Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai), Bhojraj Nag (Kondagaon), Chintamani Maharaj (Balrampur), and Radheshyam Rathia (Sarangarh-Bilaigarh).
MPs Roopkumari Choudhary (Gariaband), Kamlesh Jangde (Sakti), Mahesh Kashyap (Bijapur), Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh (Sukma), and Rajya Sabha MP Lakshmi Verma (Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki) will also hoist the flag, take the salute at the parade, and read the Chief Minister’s message to the public at their respective district headquarters.
MLAs Amar Agrawal (Korba), Ajay Chandrakar (Dhamtari), Dharamjit Singh (Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi), Punnulal Mohle (Mungeli), Bhaiya Lal Rajwade (Koriya), and Lata Usendi (Narayanpur) will serve as chief guests at the Independence Day celebrations, where they will hoist the flag and read out the Chief Minister’s message to the public.
