Raipur, August 25, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will transfer the 31st installment of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana at Dondilhora, the block headquarters of Balod district, today.
Chief Minister Sai will transfer Rs 631 crore, 38 lakh, 37 thousand, 700, to the accounts of 67 lakh 28 thousand 918 beneficiaries, at the Bihan Didi and Self-Help Group Felicitation Ceremony held at the Lal Raghuveer Singh Stadium in Doondilhora.
It is noteworthy that just before Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister will benefit the women by directly transferring the amount of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana to their accounts.
The monthly amount received through this ambitious scheme of the state government is proving to be extremely helpful for the social and economic empowerment of women, as well as for medical, health, and nutrition.
Apart from this, this amount is being used by the women of the state to deposit in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana for the safe and happy future of their daughters, and is also proving helpful in carrying out various economic activities.
Under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, assistance amounting to Rs 19,444 crore has been provided in 30 installments so far.
It is noteworthy that the assistance amount of the 31st installment of September 2026 is to be paid in the month of September, but as a gift to the sisters, the amount for the month of September will be transferred to the accounts before the Rakhi festival by Chief Minister Sai.
