Raipur, November 7, 2008: Chhattisgarh state Assembly Secretary Devendra Verma’s father was cremated here today.
Shantilal Nanhuram Verma, aged 88, died yesterday of old age, Verma family sources said.
He was cremated here today in the presence of about thousand people, including Revenue Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal and BJP MLA Devji Bhai Patel.
Verma has three sons and two daughters and Devendra Verma is the elder son and the family waited for all to arrive here to perform the last rite.
Verma family has been poured in with condolence messages.
