Bastar Heritage Marathon 2026 to be Held Tomorrow in Jagdalpur

With the objective of promoting sports in Chhattisgarh and bringing the cultural heritage of Bastar to a national platform, the “Bastar Heritage Marathon 2026” is being organized.

     Raipur, March 21, 2026: With the objective of promoting sports in Chhattisgarh and bringing the cultural heritage of Bastar to a national platform, the “Bastar Heritage Marathon 2026” is being organized.

     Scheduled for March 22, the marathon will commence at the Lalbagh Ground in Jagdalpur and conclude at the Chitrakote Waterfalls. This route will allow participants to experience the natural and historical splendor of Bastar.

     Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, this event is being hailed as a historic initiative for the state.

     Chief Minister Sai stated that, under the theme “Run for Nature – Run for Culture,” this event will elevate the state’s identity to new heights and inspire the youth to engage in sports.

     The marathon features various categories—including 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km races—with runners from across the country expected to participate.

     Attractive prizes totaling up to Rs 25 lakh have been earmarked for the winning participants. Additionally, all participants will receive finisher medals, e-certificates, and running photographs.
