Raipur, Feb 26, 2010: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today termed the Central Budget for the fiscal 2010-2011, tabled by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, as anti poor.
The central budget of the UPA government would increase the inflation further, Singh said.
It was incorrect to increase the excise duty on the petrol and diesel as that would increase in the cost of transportation resulting in further hike in prices of essential commodities, he said.
The hike in prices of cement was also uncalled for, said the Chief Minister.
In total there was nothing for the poor in the budget where as the big industrial houses are happy after the budget, he commented.
