     Raipur, December 11, 2012: Chhattisgarh Assembly today paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral, former BJP State President Tarachand Sahu, and Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thakre among others.

     After paying rich tributes to eight persons, the house was adjourned till tomorrow on the inaugural day of the Winter Session.

     The house, led by Speaker Dharam Lal Kaushik, paid tributes to Gujral, Sahu, Thakre, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, former MLAs Ganesh Shankar Bajpayee, Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh, Chaitram Sahu and former RSS Chief K Sudarshan.

     Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey, Dujram Boudh of BSP, former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, Agriculture Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu, Legislatures Dharamjeet Singh, Pratima Chandrakar, Lakshmi Baghel, Panchayat Raj Minister Hemchand Yadav, Revenue Minister Dayaldas Baghel, MLA Virendra Sahu described the personalities and highlighted their contributions while paying tributes.

     After remaining silence for two minutes, the house was adjourned for the day in respect of the departed soul.
