Raipur, November 01, 2022: Chhattisgarh is celebrating its 23rd foundation day today.
On November 01, 2000 Chhattisgarh was carved out from Madhya Pradesh after the region was complaining of perennial regional imbalance and underdevelopment.
When it was created, the state was lagging behind in all parametres. Whether heath, education, infrastructure development or administrative matters, Chhattisgarh was far below compared to other states.
However, today Chhattisgarh is competing with many developed states in attracting investment, or having better infrastructure, developmental activities or on human index.
But Chhattisgarh still has to go a long way to achieve the goal, for which the state was created, bifurcating Madhya Pradesh.
To mark the occasion, Chhattisgarh is celebrating a three-day Rajyotshav at the capital city Raipur, whereas at the district level it was decided to have one day function at the headquarters today.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wished the people on this occasion and emphasised on overall development of the state.
