Raipur, December 5, 2008: Chhattisgarh received the best award in a national trade fair organized in the national capital, officials said here today.
In the India Organic National trade Fair 2008, organized from November 27 to 30 the stall of the Horticulture Department of Chhattisgarh was adjudged the best stall, the officials said.
Agriculture Department of the Government of India and others had organized the trade fair, during which meetings of buyers and sellers and seminars were also organized, they said.
Currently ten minor forest produces besides paddy were produced under the organic farming and was gaining huge popularity also, they said adding Chhattisgarh had demonstrated its capability in organic farming and its products in that trade fair.
