Raipur, August 04, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today expressed deep sorrow over the death of five children by drowning in deep water in Mohla Manpur area and Hajariguda village of Jagdalpur.
Describing the incidents as extremely painful, the Chief Minister prayed for the peace of the departed souls and to give strength to the bereaved families to bear this sad moment.
Along with this, the Chief Minister has also appealed to the general public to be extra cautious in view of the rising water level and fast flow in rivers, drains and deep water sources during the rainy season.
He said that especially children should be prevented from going near such dangerous places, so that such tragic incidents do not recur.
Sai has given instructions to the administration to implement precautionary measures like increasing social awareness, identifying and marking waterlogged places and installing warning boards in risky areas on priority basis.
