Chief Minister Sai inaugurated the Kachan railway overbridge

      Raipur, 22 May 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated the Kachana railway overbridge in the capital Raipur and dedicated it to the general public.

      At the same time, the widening work of the Shankar Nagar-Khamhardih-Kachana road built at a cost of Rs 22.79 crore was also inaugurated.

     Speaking on the occasion, Sai said that the state government is giving top priority to the development of infrastructure in the state and this overbridge is an important achievement in that direction.

      The Chief Minister said that the Kachan railway gate had been facing the problem of traffic jam for a long time, due to which the common citizens had to face difficulties in movement. With the commencement of the overbridge, people will now have access to smooth, safe and uninterrupted transport. This will particularly benefit the citizens of Kachan, Khamharadih and surrounding areas.

    He said the project was approved under the Central Road Fund Scheme of the Central Government.

     The Chief Minister said that the years-old demand of the people has been fulfilled today. Now there will be relief from traffic jams and long queues of vehicles. This will greatly facilitate people going to the office, school-college as well as traders and businessmen. He congratulated the people of the area for this achievement.

     The Chief Minister said that the construction of this overbridge has become possible through the funds received from the Central Government. Expressing gratitude to the Central Government for this, he congratulated the Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Sao and the officials of the Public Works Department for completing the work in a timely and quality manner.

     It is noteworthy that the length of this bridge is 787 metres and the width is 13 metres and with the construction of this overbridge built at a cost of Rs 48.78 crore, the traffic system of Raipur city will be more robust and time will also be saved.

      The Chief Minister said that the state government is rapidly advancing the road, bridge and other infrastructure development works in the state so that better facilities can be provided to the general public. He congratulated the officials and agencies involved in the construction work and said that quality construction work is the priority of the government.

     Sai said that Sushasan Tihar is currently being organised in the state. The state government is also taking feedback on schemes and development works by going directly to the people along with putting the report card of its works in front of the public. Camps are being organised in rural and urban areas, where officials from various departments are present and trying to solve the problems of the common citizens quickly.

     He said that by going among the people, they get information about the real conditions. They themselves suddenly reach the villages and listen to the problems of the people by putting a choupal under the tree.

      He said that people are benefitting from the schemes of governance and the state government is committed to bringing the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ground.
