Raipur, June 06, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and briefed him in details about the successes of anti-Maoist operations in the state and the development works going on in the Bastar region.

With the cooperation of the Center and by adopting new strategy by the state government, the Naxal eradication campaign has been brought to a decisive turn, the Chief Minister said.
The intensive operations conducted in the last one and a half years have yielded positive results, he said.
A total of 1,428 Maoists have surrendered, which is also a significant increase compared to the last five years, Sai said.
He informed that 427 Maoists were killed in 205 encounters, including top Maoist leader of the organisation General Secretary Basava Raju and Central Committee member Sudhakar.
Along with this, 64 new forward security camps have been established in the state, which has strengthened the security network.
He said that basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, health services and schools are now being rapidly provided to the villages located around these security camps.
Under the ‘Niyad Nellnar Yojana’, 18 types of community services and 25 types of government schemes are being implemented in an integrated manner in the identified 146 villages, which has increased the trust of the local people in the government system.
Home Minister Shah praised the progress report presented by Chief Minister Sai and said that decisive control over Maoist activities is becoming possible due to the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government. The central government will continue to provide all possible assistance to the state, he added.
On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Home Vijay Sharma and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh were present.
