Raipur, February 15, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today announced a new scheme to attract the villagers for a positive attitude towards the security camps being established in the Maoist areas of the state.
The Chief Minister announced in the state assembly a scheme “Niyad Nellanar Yojana” under which more than 25 basic facilities would be provided to the villagers living under the 5 kilometre radius of the police camps.
The Niyad Nellanar Scheme will be implemented in the 5 KM radius of the 14 new police camps in the Maoists areas, CM Sai told the house.

A budgetary allocation of Rs 20 crore has been made for the scheme, he said adding hence forth the police camps will be camps for development of the people and the villages.
About 32 people centric benefits will also be provided to the people living in 5 km radius of the camps, he said.
Former Minister and senior Congress MLA Kawashi Lakhma welcomed the decision of the BJP government and urged the Chief Minister to help build roads in the interior Maoists areas.
