Raipur, July 29, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today met the outgoing Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan and wished him a healthy life.

Harichandan has completed his tenure as the governor of Chhattisgarh and tomorrow the governor appoint Ramen Deka.
The state achieved a lot of success due to the able guidance of Harichandan, the Chief Minister said.
“I hope such guidance will continue in the coming days also for the Government as well as the people of the state,” Sai said.
The outgoing Governor also wished Chief Minister Sai all success.
The President yesterday appointed Assam BJP veteran Ramen Deka as the new governor of Chhattisgarh in place of Biswabhushan Harichandan.
Born on March 1, 1954 in Sualkuchi, Deka was elected to Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket twice.
A former National Secretary of BJP, Deka was also made the BJP state President in 2014.
Deka had served the 16th Lok Sabha, representing the Mangaldoi constituency, in 2009. He again became MP in 2014 from the same Lok Sabha seat, sources said.
