Raipur, April 12, 2013: Main opposition Congress today launched its Parivartan Yatra from north of Chhattisgarh to unseat the BJP government in the state and demanded the regime to stop using the photograph of its Chief Minister in Central schemes.
AICC General Secretary B K Hariprasad and AICC Treasurer Motilal Vora took the leadership in launching the programme from Ambikapur, the district headquarters of Sarguja amid an impressive gathering.
The people of Chhattisgarh would no longer tolerate BJP rule in the state, looking into its bad track record and corruption in welfare schemes, Congress leaders said.
The state BJP government was pasting the photographs of its Chief Minister or ministers in the centrally sponsored schemes, which should immediately be stopped, Chhattisgarh PCC President Nand Kumar Patel told a meeting later at Balrampur.
Union Minister Charan Das Mahant and veteran leader Vidya Charan Shukla also addressed the gathering.
