     Ambikapur, August 12, 2010: It may force many economists to consult their book once again to confirm a new theory on employment generation work in Chhattisgarh as under the Rojgar Guarantee Scheme the state was sanctioning Rs 1600 for plantation of one tree in Sarguja district.

     “Sarguja Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dhananjaya Dewangan has sanctioned Rs 25.60 lakh for plantation of 1600 trees in Sarguja district under the Mahatma Gandhi Rramin Rojgar Guarantee Scheme,” an official document said.

     Which means, per tree Rs 1600 has been sanctioned by the district administration.

       As per the government order the executing agency of the plantation work has been given to the concern gram panchayats.

     As per the order, Rs 3.20 lakh has been sanctioned for plantation of 200 trees each at the road side of Panchayat Karji, at Bilaspur-Sukhri Road of Panchayat Sundarpur, Jamtipara-Sukhri road of Labji, at Banaras road of Digma, at Mudesa, Karra, at Mainpat-Rakeli road and at Mohanpur gram Panchayat.
