New Delhi, April 4, 2024: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and promised to scrap all “draconian” laws such as the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Appealing the people to unseat the BJP and its allies in the parliamentary election and ensure that an alternative secular government is formed at the Centre, the CPI (M) appealed to voters to increase the strength of Left parties.
The CPI (M) appealed to voters to defeat the BJP, strengthen the Left, and ensure the formation of an alternative secular government at the Centre.
The CPI (M) stands for the scrapping of all “draconian” laws like UAPA and PMLA, the party stated.
The party said the budgetary allocation for job guarantee scheme MGNREGA must be doubled and a new law guaranteeing urban employment must be legislated.
The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1. The results will be declared on June 4.
