Raipur, November 20, 2008: Election Commission today ordered registration of case against the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh for alleged violation of poll directives.
Ordered had been issued for registration of a case against Singh to probe the matter, said state Chief Electoral Officer Dr Alok Shukla.
Earlier independent candidate Virendra Pandey complaint to the Election Commission that the Chief Minister had campaigned through FM Radio after the campaign period was over.
On the basis of that complaint a case has been ordered for registration under section 126 of the Representation of People Act and the matter is under investigation, Commission officials said.
