Raipur, January 12, 2025: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani today met Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at the CM House and said his Adani Group is planning to invest Rs 60 thousand crore in Chhattisgarh.

During the discussion with the Chief Minister, Adani said that the visionary and transparent policies of the Chhattisgarh government have won the trust of industrialists, as a result of which the Adani Group plans to invest Rs 60 thousand crore for the expansion of power plants in Raipur, Korba and Raigarh, official sources said.
This project will increase Chhattisgarh’s power generation capacity by an additional 6,120 MW.
This major expansion in the field of energy will not only make the state self-reliant, but will also help in supplying energy to other states.
During the meeting they also discussed about promoting investment in the cement industry. The Adani Group agreed to invest Rs 5 thousand crore for the expansion of cement plants in the state. This will strengthen the cement industry in Chhattisgarh and create new employment opportunities.

During the meeting the possibilities of setting up defence equipment manufacturing, data center and global capability center in Chhattisgarh were also discussed.
The government’s initiative is to make the state a major center for emerging industries. Ideas were also shared regarding promoting innovative activities in view of the needs of the present time.
Adani Group will spend Rs 10 thousand crore for the development of Chhattisgarh: Adani said that on the suggestion of Chief Minister Sai, Adani Group will spend about 10 thousand crores in the state from CSR and other sources in the next four years to promote education, health, skill development and tourism. This initiative will take the social and economic development of the state to new heights.
Special emphasis on technical education: Adani Group will work for employment-based skill development among the youth. This will ensure adequate availability of technical skill-based human resources. The curriculum in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) will be designed according to future needs so that local youth get adequate opportunities.
Also, Adani Group will establish Skilling Excellence School and Premium School in Nava Raipur to give a new direction to education and skill development in Chhattisgarh. This initiative will prove to be an important effort to make the youth and children self-reliant by providing them quality education and state-of-the-art skills in the state.
Work will be done on promoting health facilities: Along with this, Adani Group will also work on expanding health facilities so that the citizens of Chhattisgarh can get high quality health facilities. A 1000 bed dormitory facility will also be started for the relatives of the patients near AIIMS Raipur and Raipur Medical College Hospital.
Tourism and rural development projects will get momentum: Adani Group will work on new projects to make historical and cultural sites in Chhattisgarh attractive for tourists. This will give global recognition to the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh. Similarly, work will also be done on expanding the facilities under rural development.
