Raipur, August 27, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today said his government was doing everything possible for improvement of the people from the other backward castes (OBCs) in the state.
Addressing the OBC Mahasammelan, CM Baghel, himself an OBC said, whether it was education, health, employment programmes of the state or that of Nyay yojanas, the OBCs are well taken care off by his government.
The state government has also decided to construct hostels for OBC students like SC, ST at the district levels.
On the issue of increase in reservation for the OBCs, Baghel said he will write to the Governor requesting him for an appointment with the OBC leaders, where they can discuss the issues with him.
To an issue, he said, since the OBCs are bigger in the size in the state, they had been provided large number of lands for construction of community halls. And if they want more that will be considered.
