Hike in power tariff in Chhattisgarh

     Raipur, May 25, 2015: Despite stiff opposition, the power tariff in Chhattisgarh was hiked today.

     There was an average 14.3 per cent hike in the power tariff.

     The domestic consumers would now pay extra 11 per cent of power tariff.

     Similarly there is an increase in 14 per cent increase in the power tariff for industrial users.

     To cover up the revenue deficit power tariff was increased, officials said.
