Raipur, October 15, 2022: Election Commission today announced that the election to the Himachal Pradesh assembly would be held on November 12, next, whereas counting would be held almost after a month.
Himachal has 68 assembly seats and in a single phase the state would go for polls on November 12, the EC said today.
With the notification for the poll on October 17, nomination filing will be started on that day, which would continue till October 25.
Scrutiny of the nomination is on October 27 and the last date of withdrawal is October 29, the EC said.
The state would go to poll on November 12 whereas counting will be held on December 8.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has been appointed as the Chief Observer for the Himachal assembly election by the AICC.
