New Delhi, October 07, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today praised the strategy being adopted by the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai in dealing with the Maoists violence.
Home Minister Shah today presided over a high level meeting of Maoists hit states, in which Chief Minister Sai was also present.
Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, who is also the BJP national President, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai and Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma were also present in that meeting.
Recent operations of the security forces to shot dead 31 Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region was in the centre of discussion.
Shah praised the team Sai for the success in Bastar region in anti-naxal operation.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister said on specific intelligence the operation was launched, in which besides some top leaders, a total of 31 Maoists were killed, including 13 women.
Sai also informed about the developmental works being carried out in that region.
