Mumbai, May 14, 2024: Due to dust storm with a heavy rain, a heavy billboard collapsed at a petrol pump, in which several people were killed and many injured, reports said today.
The death toll in yesterday hoarding collapse incident in Ghatkopar area has risen to 14 while 74 people are injured, reports said.
The 100-foot-tall illegal billboard fell at a petrol pump in Ghatkopar during dust storms and unseasonal rains that lashed Mumbai yesterday.
Men and machines were deployed since yesterday in the rescue operations.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police commissioner Vivek Phansalkar has assures strict action against those responsible for the incident.
