Raipur, February 13, 2024: New Raipur Range Inspector General of Police Amresh Mishra today called on Chhattisgarh Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan.
IG Raipur called on the Governor at the Raj Bhawan today, official sources said.
IG Mishra briefed the Governor about the law and order situation of his range.

The IGP also briefed about the steps his forces are taking to check crime and enforce law in the range.
The crime graph was in upward swing for quite some time in Raipur range and especially in the Raipur District with stabbing and loots was reported nearly daily in the recent past.
Looking into the matter the Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma had changed both the IG and SP of Raipur.
Recently Amresh Mishra had joined as the IG of Raipur range whereas Santosh Singh has joined as SP Raipur.
Amresh Mishra had worked in both the naxal and urban pockets of the state before proceeding for central deputation.
