Raipur, May 12, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased over the horrific road accident in Kharora area of Raipur district, in which 13 people were killed and 14 seriously injured late last night.
Chief Minister Sai said that the news of the horrific road accident in Kharora is very painful. “I pray to God for the peace of the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured”.

The Chief Minister said that in this hour of crisis, the state government stands with the affected families with full sensitivity.
Sai has given necessary instructions to the officials for proper treatment of the injured.
He has also announced that the state government will provide assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.
Chief Minister Sai has directed the district administration to continuously monitor for relief and rescue operations.
It is worth mentioning that 13 people died and 14 seriously injured in a horrific collision between a mini truck and a trailer in Kharora area of Raipur district last night.
All these people in the mini truck were returning from Bana village of Kharora after the Chhathi programme. In Bangoli, it was hit by a trailer coming from Raipur.
The dead include 10 women and 3 children. These include 3 women from the same family.
The trailer is said to be from Jharkhand. According to reports, the driver took another route to avoid the toll gate and during this, the mini truck collided with the iron (part of a heavy machine) which was about 3 feet out from the side of the trailer. After the accident, the mini truck went out of control and collided with another truck coming behind the trailer.
13 people died and 14 injured in this collision.
