Jagdalpur, December 28, 2008: Maoists today opened fire and killed a teacher and two others and injured five persons in Bijapur district, police said.
Maoists stormed the Kukra para weekly market in Bijapur district headquarters and opened fire killing one Sikshya Karmi, one Special Police Officer and a villager, police said.
In the firing one SPO and four villagers were also injured, they said.
The SPOs had gone for marketing and were without arms when the incident took place, police claimed.
