Raipur, January 9, 2009: Many ministers were absent today from the Chhattisgarh Assembly when the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was introducing them in the house.
On the second day of the third assembly, maintaining tradition, the Chief Minister introduced his council of ministers to the house as it was practically the first day of discussion.
However, several ministers were absent from the house when they were being introduced, provoking the opposition to comment on that.
Food and Civil Supply Minister Punnu Lal Mohile, Health Minister Amar Agrawal and Agriculture Minister Chandra Sekhar Sahu were absent from the house along with some Parliamentary Secretaries.
Reacting to that, former minister Amitesh Shukla of Congress wanted to know from the Chief Minister what action would be taken against the ministers, who are absent from the house.
Tamradhwaj Sahu of Congress also negatively commented on that.
However, the Chief Minister or treasury bench members refused to comment on that.
