Raipur, January 08, 2024: Nand Kumar Baghel, father of former Congress Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, passed away today.
Nand Kumar Baghel passed away today morning at the age of 89, his family sources said.
The last rite will be held at their Kuruddih village of Durg district on January 10, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said.
The last rite is delayed as the family is waiting for the younger sister of Bhupesh Baghel, who is abroad.
The body is kept at the Patan Sadan, the official MLA residence of Bhupesh Baghel.
Chhattisgarh Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Speaker Dr Raman Singh and a host of leaders expressed their grief on the demise of Nand Kumar Baghel.
