     Raipur, April 28, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today reviewed the anti-naxal operation in Chhattisgarh. The main focus of the meeting was the internal security situation of the state and the progress of Naxal eradication campaigns.

     In the State Secretariat meeting Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Dev Gautam, Special DG Naxal Operations Vivekananda, senior officers of CRPF and other security forces were present.

     The Chief Minister said in the meeting that the Chhattisgarh government is working firmly with the resolve to make the state Naxal-free under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

     The goal of his government is to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026 and they are making every possible effort in that direction, he said.

     While praising the indomitable courage, dedication and devotion of the officers and jawans of the security forces, Sai said that due to their bravery, many areas of the state have been freed from clutches of Naxal today and the final success is now very near.

     He specifically directed that effective action should be ensured by strengthening mutual coordination and information gathering mechanism in anti-Naxal operations.

     Anti-naxal operation is not just a campaign, but a mission to secure the future of Bastar and Chhattisgarh, in which any kind of laxity is not acceptable, the Chief Minister said.

     Sai said that both security and development have to be carried forward together in districts like Bijapur, Sukma and Dantewada. He instructed the officials to increase interactions with the local communities to win their confidence and complete the development works in the area at a fast pace.

     The Chief Minister said that special attention should be paid to road construction, health services, education and employment generation in Naxal-affected areas. The public should feel that the government is dedicated to them and wants to bring positive change in their lives.

     In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is now at a decisive turning point. He called upon all the officers to play their role in achieving this historic goal with full devotion, alertness and commitment.

     Very soon Chhattisgarh will get a new identity in the entire country as a Naxal-free and development-oriented state, Sai added.

     He expressed confidence that all the security forces, administrative staff and the people of the state will unite and successfully face this challenge and convert the dream of ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ into reality.
