Kanker, December 14, 2008: A group of Maoists today set on fire the Kapsi telephone exchange of the BSNL in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
A group of armed Maoists stormed into the exchange and set on fire the government telephone exchange in Kapsi under the Pakhanjur police station area, police told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Although no one is injured in that incident but the telecom services in that area have totally been affected due to the fire, they said.
Besides the telecom equipments, air condition and other valuables were also damaged in the fire by the Maoists, the police said.
Previously also the Maoists had damaged the exchange in Kapsi.
