New Delhi, June 22, 2024: After alleged large scale malpractices in NEET (UG) examinations, the Centre today evening postponed the NEET-PG Entrance Examination, scheduled to be held tomorrow (June 23, 2024).
A fresh date of this examination will be notified at the earliest, Government of India said today.
Central Government has decided to postpone the examination after recent incidents of allegations regarding the integrity of certain competitive examinations, official sources said.
Health Ministry has decided to undertake a thorough assessment of the robustness of processes of NEET-PG Entrance Examination, conducted by National Board of Examination for medical students, the sources said.
“It has accordingly been decided, as a precautionary measure to postpone the NEET-PG Entrance Examination, scheduled to be held tomorrow that is June 23, 2024,” the sources added.
This decision has been taken in the best interests of the students and to maintain the sanctity of examination process, the Ministry said.
Ministry of Health said it sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to the students.
