Raipur, January 10, 2025: On allegation of poor quality of road construction at the Mowa over-bridge Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Sao today conducted a surprise inspection of the work site.
Expressing displeasure over the negligence and poor road repair work the Minister gave a strict warning to the concerned contractor and engineers and said irregularities will not be tolerated.

Sao asked the officials not to pay a single rupee to the contractor for the repair work. Also the officer responsible for poor quality work will not be spared, strict action will be taken after investigation.
Public Works Department Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh and Chief Engineer KK Pipri were also present during the inspection of the repair work, which was in the media for the last two days over its substandard works.
Sao directed the senior officials to get the over-bridge repair work investigated by the Chief Engineer level officer on the spot and submit the report in three days.
After the instructions of Sao, the Public Works Department has issued orders for immediate investigation. The department has asked the Chief Engineer level officers to investigate the points like gross negligence in repair, the reason for the defect in the work and submit the report within three days.
