Raipur, March 22, 2016: Prabhash Chandra Hota, an eminent personality of western Orissa passed away today.
Prabhash Chandra Hota, famously known as Neheru, passed away today afternoon after a massive cardiac arrest his family members said.
Prabhash is the elder brother of senior journalist of Chhattisgarh Prakash Chandra Hota.
On March 11, last their mother Tilottama Hota passed away after a brief illness.
On the 12th day of the death of his mother Prabhash passed away today at their native place at Bargarh in Orissa. Prabhash was actively involved in social works.
Prakash performed the last rite of his elder brother, in the presence of former Finance Minister of Orissa Prasanna Acharya, Municipal Chairman Prashant Behera and many eminent personalities, including advocated, doctors and journalists.
Many people from Chhattisgarh were also present on that occasion to console the bereaved family.
Entire Hota family was present at Bargarh when the incident took place as today was the Dwadashah of their mother.
Prabhash is the fifth among brothers and they have two elder sisters. Their father and one of the prominent cooperative movement leaders of the independent India Bharat Chandra Hota had passed away in the year 2000.
