Bilaspur declares water scarcity district

     Bilaspur, March 25, 2016: Bilaspur has been declared water scarcity district in Chhattisgarh.

       To ensure sufficient drinking water to the people, Bilaspur was declared water scarcity district, official sources said here.

     Till further order any one cannot dig bore well in the district without permission from the competent authorities for the purpose other than drinking water.

      Under the Chhattisgarh Drinking Water Conservation Act 1986, District Collector Anbalgan P has issued the notification on March 23, 2016.

     During this period only government agencies can dig bore well, that too for drinking water purpose, the officials clarified.
