Raipur, October 14, 2011: Chhattisgarh Government today shifted one of the Superintending Engineers from his post for not listening to the order of the state government on maintenance of roads.
After facing severe criticism for having rendered all roads of the state in a bad condition, the BJP government in the state today shifted A K Mandhani from the post of Superintendent Engineer of the National Highway PWD Raipur Circle, officials said.
A Government communication said Mandhani was shifted as he refused to listen to the order of the state government in repairing and maintain of various national highways.
After Mandhani was shifted to the office of the Chief Engineer, in his place Bridge Circle Superintending Engineer Raipur M M Srivastava has been given the additional charge of the NH-PWD Raipur Circle, it said.
All the national highways of the state are reduced to a very bad condition due to lack of maintenance.
